Decoding the Language of Fabric Care
Always review the care label of your clothes before washing. Whilst laundry symbols can often be hard to understand - they are key in preventing shrinkage, colour fade and damage to the fabrics.

Washing: A basin icon shows water temperature and washing method.

Drying: A square symbol with dots or lines provides a guide on which drying technique is recommended for your clothes.

Ironing: The number of dots indicate the ideal level of heat tolerance for your garment. (whereas a crossed-out symbol suggests that ironing is not recommended for this product).
Understanding these instructions will ensure that your garments remain in their best condition for longer.

Shirts & Tailoring: Use a steamer to remove creases. Wash with detergent that protects structure and prevents stiffness.

Finishing Touches: Pressed, Not Stressed
While we don’t always have time to properly iron/steam our clothes, this final step ensures that your garments always look their best.
Always follow care instructions, avoiding high heat and patch test on a discreet part of your clothes. We prefer to use a steam iron when possible - which is kinder on certain fabrics.
